Welcome to my website!

I am a Family Doctor and Public health specialist. My work focuses on health equity, and how racism impacts health, in particular anti-Black racism as a driver of inequities in Canada.

If you are in healthcare and interested in anti-racism education and transformation, then I hope my work and the resources can be of assistance to you on your journey to dismantling structural oppression, including anti-Black racism.

I also welcome your feedback! If there are community or educational resources that you think would be of benefit to others that you’d like me to share on my webpage, please let me know via the Contact page!

I wear a few hats but much of my work is in medical education:

  • Black Health Theme Lead for the Faculty of Medicine at the Univeristy of Toronto

  • Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead within the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto

  • Associate Program Director of the Public Health & Preventive Medicine Residency Program at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto

  • Clinical Consultant at the Nicotine Dependence Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)

  • President of the Black Physicians' Association of Ontario

  • Host of the podcast Race, Health and Happiness
